Heghine's husband was a soldier in the Turkish army and
disappeared. She came with her mother and her little daughter on the road. Months
they were driven to and fro and suffered awfully. Her mother one day was
killed. When the caravan reached a village Begtasch a Turk carried her off. She
was compelled to marry him. She gave the birth to a son. After some years she
fled with her two children to Aintab, where her daughter was placed in an
American orphanage. Newly Heghine came to Aleppo. Her daughter is in the hostel
of "Friends of Armenia". Heghine and her son we took in our home.
