Avadis was deported from Diarbekir to Mardin with his parents.
The father was killed on the road by an Arab, who afterwards dragged his mother and himself along with him to his tent. There the mother was forced to marry the Arab.
Poor Avedis was illtreated and had to work very hard from his earliest childhood. He was a little shepherd.
Once a sheep was lost his master beat him so cruelly with a stick, that his eye was injured.
Newly the moter died, and Avedis fled to Mardin, where our agents found hime and sent him to our rescue-home in Aleppo.
His eyes are very affected.
Left our care: 1/3 27. Rel. Aleppo.
