During the exile Levon, his parents,
sisters and brothers were exiled to Surudj. There a Turk took him away from his
parents. There is no more news about them. There he grew up as a Turk and
worked eleven years for his master. In 1926, by the government he was sent to
fight against the Kurds. One night the soldiers were encamped near the Syrian
frontier. One of his comrades advised him to flee away, because his companions
were planning to kill him while they were informed that he was an Armenian.
Levon passed to the Syrian territory and found our rescue-home.
