Zuvart was deported with her mother and sisters to a distance of three days from her native town. The third day her caravan was attacked by Kourds who after robbing them killed most of them. She lost her mother and sisters there. Some Armenian women could flee. Zuvart, too, and all of them fled during the night to Agin. A few days after the arrival in Agin they were deported to Veran-Shehir. An Arab of this town took her to his house and she lived seven years there being his servant. The Arabs of this town are nomads. Soon they left this place and she could not flee.

Veran Shehir was destroyed during the war and her master went to Diarbekir taking her with her. Zuvart fled at night and joined a party of Greek refugees who were going to Aleppo. She succeeded this time and reached this city without troubles.
