Gadar was exiled with the whole
family as far as Mardin. There the caravan was scattered and entirely killed.
However a Kurd took Gadar to his house and took care of her. She lived there
until this summer then she joined an Armenian boy, No. 1127, and both of them
fled and with the help of an Armenian Catholic priest they made their way to
Aleppo. Gadar only remembers her name and birth-place. It is supposed that she
has relatives in America.
Araksi went to her aunt in Baghdad.
