His father died before the war. He was deported with his mother, little brother and sister to Harpoot. In Harpoot his mother was killed, his brother and sister taken to Turkish families. He himself was deported through the desert to Der-el-Zor. In Murad he was taken to an Arab family where he lived eight years as a farmer.
Simon desired very much to return to his nation but it was dangerous to flee. During November he made his way back to Der-el-Zor, travelling only at night time, he reached Der-el-Zor and was sent from there by our agent to Aleppo.
Found work for himself and became selfsupporting.
