Mariam was exiled after the
Ourfa war. Her father was killed there, and she came on the road with her
mother a brother and a sister. They reached Ras-el-Ain, there an Arab took her
and brought her to his village. She remained there 2 years, then fled to
Mardin, where she stayed by Arabs 6 years.
Her old owner from the village
sought her in Mardin and found out where she was. She then fled to Hassitshe
with some muleteers.
In Hassitshe she stayed some
years. One day she heard about out rescue-home in Aleppo and asked our agent to
sent her there. He did so, and she reached our house safely.
