She
was exiled with her parents, two brothers and four sisters. One of her brothers
was lost near Bozanti, another one was killed in Djihan (Hamidie), her mother
died in Islahie. When they reached Bab, her father left Serpouhi under the
charge of an Arab in order to save her from further sufferings, while the
caravan went further on. When she grew up, her owner sold her to an Arab on
credit. The Arab married her, but on the appointed day, he could not pay his
debt. Therefore, he was obliged to return back Serpouhi to her former
possessor. She had to work hard in the field for him. Once, her sister, the
second survivor of the whole family in
Aleppo, gained information about Serpouhi and she succeeded in saving her with
our assistance.
Found her sister in Aleppo and went to live with her.
