Nazaret's family was deported to Jaffa. His parents were old and could not endure all the fatigues of the long road they had made so they became ill and died.

                   Nazaret was left alone with his two younger brothers. Being unable to work at his age he could not support his brothers. He wanted to save them anyhow and so he gave them to some Arabs from Hama. Later he himself was put in a Turkish orphanage here in Aleppo. Once going to the market an Arab from Oufsere took him in a carriage and drove off with him. Nazaret became his servant and shepherd and was kept nine years among the Moslems.

                   However an Armenian came to Ousfere on business. He saw Nazaret there and recognized him as an Armenian, on his return to Aleppo he took him to this city and brought him to us. His father's brother is in Beirut and his mother's brother n Damaskus.

Found relatives in Damaskus and went to live with them.
