Donig was deported with his parents and two brothers to a village near Bab. His father fled to Bab in order to save his life. His two brothers died on the road and his mother was sent to Deir-el-Zor with him.
There an Arab took him to Musherefe to his house where he lived 10 years as a shepherd and sometimes as a farmer.
One day he went to Bab in business. There an Armenian automobile driver saw and recognized him. He informed him about the Armenians in Aleppo and promised to take him there if he wished.
They then fled in the night and came to our station in Aleppo.
