Her husband was killed in the native town and she was deported with her family and son until Severek where a Turkish Major married her. Lucia lived for 7 years with him and fled afterwards to Diarbeker but the major caught her on the road and brought her back.
Once having her vacations in a village near Severek, where she was send with her daughter by the Turkish Major, she risked once more and succeeded this time to flee to Mardin. She went directly to the American orphanage, but as she could not be received there she went on to Der-el-Zor. After crossing the endless plains and deserts she came to Aleppo. She was received with her son in our Reception-house.
Lucia found some relatives here in Aleppo and she went to live with them.
Left our care: October 1922. Relatives.
