Azadoohi's father was killed in the beginning of the Armenian deportation, but she herself with her brother were not deported but kept in different Turkish houses. Both of them have been adopted as children in Turkish families.
Azadoohi's elder sister married a Turk. When the Near East Relief came to Harpoot she fled to this organization. Later she succeeded in locating her mother in Harpoot, she also was living in a Turkish house.
Permission was granted to Armenians who wanted to leave Turkey. Azadoohi asked her master to let her go, he permitted her and paid the expenses of her journey to Aleppo. She took her brother with her and came to this city.
Her mother was found here in Aleppo and both children are now living with her.
Azadoohi is doing embroidery.
