Her
father was a soldier in the Turkish army, when she was exiled with her mother,
two sisters and her brother. After a long and troublesome journey afoot the
caravan arrived to Azez. There her mother, one sister and a brother were
killed. Nouvart and the other sister were with the caravan driven further on to
Killis. There a Turk took Nouvart and brought her to his house. Soon after he
married her by force to a Turk. She does not know what because of her little
sister. Nouvart who was illtreated several times tried to flee but was caught
and brought back again. Newly she succeeded in reaching our rescue-home. She
came with her husband to Aleppo, here she heard about our home and immediately
fled to us.
Left our care: June 23, 1927. Received in the asylum
of the church.
