His father died before the war.
Minas was exiled with his mother and two sisters. As they reached Ghoyren (a
village near Urfa) he was taken out of the caravan and was brought to
Veranshehir, where he lived eleven years in a Kurd's house. During the Kurdish
rebellion his master left the Turkish territory and went into the Syrian. As
they were passing near Tel-Samen and Armenian peddler saw and recognized Minas.
He induced and brought the boy to our colony from where he was sent to us.
