In the beginning of the war his father went to Constantinople that is all Panos knows about his father.

                  When the deportation started, Panos was exiled with his mother and sister. After a long journey they reached Biredjik, where his mother became ill and died. He and his sister were forced to serve in Turkish houses as servants. Once Panos had the opportunity to flee, and he fled to Djarablous, from where by some Armenians he was sent to us.
