His father was killed in the beginning of the deportation. He was deported with his mother. About one hour away from his native town, a Turk took him away from his mother and brought him to his house. Nighogos lived seven years with the Turk being considered as the son of the latter.
Nighogos was grown up and understood that he was an Armenian. He wanted to learn a trade and also return to his nation. He asked his master to allow him to go to Aleppo. The latter agreed and Nighogos left Turkey with an Armenian party. He reached safely this city.
