            Came to Urfa with the caravan of deportation, fled from there to Garmudj and stayed with the Armenians of this village until they in their turn were deported too. From that time, he lived among the Arabs in Tel-Abiat as shepherd.

            When the French come to Tel-Abiat, a Christian Dragoman sent him to Rakka, and our organisation took him on to Aleppo.

            His sister is living in Adiaman in very poor condition his younger brother is in the orphanage in Urfa. As he has no other relatives, he remains in our care.

 

 

Serkis learned a trade and become selfsupporting.
