He was exiled with the whole family
to Ras-el-Ain. He is the only survivor. An Arab took him to his house then he
sold him to the chief of the tribe. Babo remained eleven years there and gained
his master's confidence.
One day our agent was informed about
Babo and went to see him. He told the boy about the Armenians and even about
his relatives living in Aleppo. Babo was persuaded gut it was difficult to flee
away. Our agent went directly to his master but he did not consent to allowing
his slave to go. Finally the agent was obliged to buy the boy from his owner,
in this way Babo came to our rescue-house.
