His fater died before the war, he himself was deported with his mother and one brother. The suffering were intolerable. Moet of the people died from hunger, thirst and weariness. Megerditsch was quite exhausted and could not walk more, he was left on the road, there an Arab woman found him and took him with her to a tent. There he stayed 2 years. 

Afterwards his master sold him to another Arab, where he remained but 6 months. Being illterated he fled to another tribe where he stayed till now. His possessor wanted him to marry his daughter, but the he remembered that he was Christian and that is was a shame to stay among the Islams. 

He feld by night. The next day our agent met with him and sent him further on.
