Mariam was deported with her
parents to Deir-el-Zor. There she came into the possession of a wandering tribe
and was sold several times from one to another being the wife of several
persons.
Once, when the tribe came near
Mousul, Mariam found a chance to make her escape. She fled at night and after
two day’s troublesome journey reached the town. An Armenian fellow paid the
journey and sent her per auto to us.
Left our care: 1 / 2. 27. Relatives, cousin
