As
all other Armenians Hovsep also was deported with his parents and two brothers.
After a long and troublesome journey afoot the caravan reached Beisney. There
Arabs and Kurds attacked them and a terrible massacre took place. Hovsep's
parents were killed. He himself and his two brothers were taken away by Kurds.
Fortunately they were brought to the same village but in different houses. All
three they had to work hard for their possessors, but how thankful they were
that they might see and speak with each other. Often they spoke about their
fleeing but where to flee? They were always told that all Armenians were
killed. Newly when Hovsep from our agent heard the contrary he immediately was
ready to follow him to Arab-pounar, from where he was sent further on to us.
