Krikor came on the road with his parents, his brother
Harutiun, one sister and all his country people. After a long and troublesome
journey afoot the caravan reached Deir-el-Zor. There Tchetchens attacked them
and a terrible massacre took place. Krikor's parents were killed he himself was
dragged by a Tchetchen and brought to his village. After a year his possessor
died, and Krikor fled to some Circassians, where he was treated rather well.
Yet he never forgot that he was a Christian, an Armenian. As he grew up he
could not stand being among the Islams. He fled and reached our rescue-home
safely.
Left our care: October 5,
1927. Selfsupporting.
