Souren's father was put in prison and killed with other Armenians of Caiseri. His family was deported to Ras-el-Ain. There most of the caravan were massacred by Kourds and Turks.
An Arab took Souren to his family and his sister was taken by a Christian man from Mardin.
Souren was living five years with the Arab being his shepherd. Later the Arab sent him away and Souren went to another tribe again as a shepherd. At once he remembered that he was an Armenian. He fled to Mardin looked there for his sister but could not find her. He asked the Armenian priest to sent him to Aleppo. The priest recognized him as an Armenian and sent him directly to us.
Souren's sister is in America but he does not remember her name.
