Yeghsapet was married to an Armenian before the war. He
became a soldier in the Turkish army. Later Yeghsapet was deported with some of
her relatives. Not far from Nisibin a Kurd bought Yeghsapet from the
police-soldiers for ten sh. After this she was his wife, she could not escape
from him. But lately she fell from the roof and hurt one leg badly. She was
then sent to Khamishli to the doctor. There she found Armenians and was sent to
us.
Three years ago her husband had been here looking for her. Believing her to
be dead, he had married another woman and gone to Greece with her.
