Her father had gone to America before the Great War.
Sultan was deported with her mother and all the country-people. On and on they
walked afoot always exposed to the attacks of the surrounding Muslims, who
robbed and killed. The poor women were half naked, hungry and thirsty. At last
they came to a Kurdish village near Soulkia, Urfa. A Kurd dragged Sultan away
from her mother. When she grew up he married her. Lately her uncle who is
living here in Aleppo, heard that she was alive. He came to us and asked for
help. Our Arab-Pounar agent found her and sent her to our Reception-House.
Left our care: September 27,
1927. Relatives uncle Aleppo.
