In the beginning of the war
his father was taken in the Turkish Army. His mother became ill and died.
Garabed also was deported with his sister and brother.
When the caravan came near
Deir-el-Zor an Arab took him to his village as a servant, he was obliged to
remain there 11 years. He tried several times to flee from there because he
could not endure the life among Arabs. At last he tried once more and is now in
our rescue-home.
We
found Garabed's brother in Beyrouth and sent him there.
Left
our care: April 19, 1926. Relatives, Chauffeur.
