Vartouhi's
mother died 2 years before the war. Her father was killed. An aunt took her in
her house and Vartouhi was deported with her.
Near Mardin the caravan was
attacked by Arabs. One Arab brought Vartouhi to his tent. She remained there 2
years and was then sold to another Arab.
That man went soon to
Deir-el-Zor with his whole family and Vartouhi was with them.
In Deir-el-Zor she heard about
our home in Aleppo and one day she fled to our agent and asked him to bring her
to us. He did so.
In Aleppo she found her
grandmother and is living with her.
Left
our care: October 4, 1925. Relatives.
