In the beginning of the great war her father was killed.
A Turk from a neighbouring village Sabelvar took possession of Eva and her
mother. After some months, Eva was forced to marry that man by name Moulla
Bekir. Many years she lived with that man, then he one day went to
Constantinople and stayed there for a time. Eva's mother became ill and died.
Eva then wanted to flee before her husband's return. She met with some
muleteers and arrived safely to Aleppo. There she heard about our rescue-home
and came to us. Of course we were glad to take her in. She is now in a safe
harbour.
Left our care: June 1, 1928.
