Armenag's parents were killed in
their native country, he alone was sent with the caravan to Surudj. There a
Kurd, Mohammed Afti, took him out of the caravan and brought to his house,
where Armenag worked six years for him as a shepherd.
One day his master beat him so
cruelly that the poor boy lsot a piece of flesh from his lower lip.
Consequently he escaped to another village and took refuge in an Arab’s house
where he worked five years for him in the fields.
At length, being informed about and
rescue-home, he fled to Djerablus and then to Membidj whence by our agent he was
sent to us.
Armenag
had an operation on his lip in November 1926
