Dikran was exiled with his family to
Urfa and then to Mardin. On the road to Mardin the caravan was attacked by
Kurds. The people were killed and scattered. Dikran was taken by a Kurd, who
brought him to his house in Derik. He remained three years there being always
anxious to find his relatives. One day he located his younger brother's place
and succeeded to bring him to his master's house. Both of them then served
humbly the Kurd, until they had a chance to flee away. The two brothers reached
one day Hassitshe, whence they were sent per auto to us.
