Joseph was deported with hundreds of Armenians. On the road the Kurds attacked the caravan and most of this unfortunate people were killed or wounded.

                  He does not know what happened of his parents. Joseph was taken away by a Kurd who took him to his village. He lived eleven years in this village working for the Kurd.

                  Some shepherds of this village went to Aleppo on business, he followed them and came to this city.
