Ardash was exiled with his parents
in the direction of Urfa. On reaching the village Sumsac the Arabs attacked the
caravan and after robbing and killing his father they took him with his mother
away. An Arab married his mother by force. He remained two years with his
mother, then went to the village Yalaghanda and worked two years as a farmer.
But being continually illtreated he fled to Sutehan. There he worked many years
for a man, named Mohammed Semi. Finally he succeeded in passing into the Syrian
territory, where he knocked at the door of our agent in Arabpounar, whence was
sent to our rescue-home.
Went
to our colony December 1, 1926. Married to No. 1803.
