His parents were killed in
the time of deportation. Artin and his three sisters came on the road, with
many other Armenians. The sisters died and an Arab dragged away with Artin to a
village near Ras-el-Ain. He was treated
badly. One day the Arab beat him with a piece of iron and he lost his one eye.
His aunt, who is living in Aleppo came one day to us and asked for help to
rescue the boy. We succeeded and he is now staying with his aunt and learning a
trade as a smith.
Left our care: October 9,
1930. Relatives, aunt in Aleppo.
