Her
father became ill and died during the deportation.
Nevart was sent further on
with her mother and sisters. Near Deir-el-Zor she lost all of them.
She herself lived in a Turkish
house as their servant. The Turk wanted to give her to another Turk. She did
not like and fled one day to Deir-el-Zor to our agent, who sent her to our
home.
Nevart
went to live with her sister in Aleppo.
