Vagharshag was deported with his parents, one brother and one sister to Meskene. In Meskene his father and sister died of exhaustion. On the road going to Der-el-Zor he lost also his mother and sister.
An Arab took him to his house and kept him two years as his servant. Later the Arab died and Vagharshag had to look for another work. He went to a Kurdish village and worked seven years as a farmer. The Kurds did not pay anything to him and so he fled to Djerablus. Our agent there saw him and asked him if he has no work and the boy answered that he was an Armenian orphan boy. The agent sent him by motor-car to our Aleppo Reception house.
As far as we know he has no relatives.
Vagharshag learned the trade as a baker and has left our care.
