In the beginning of the war his father became a Turkish soldier in a labour bataillon in Aintab.
When Armenians were deported the population of Albistan was sent to Der-el-Zor. There he was taken by some Armenians who kept him several days, later an Arab of a nomadic tribe took him away in the desert and he became a shepherd. His mother, however, found a place as a servant near a German or Swiss employee. Later the employer went to Aleppo and took his mother with him. She wrote him several time to Krikor to flee an[d] join her but he was afraid to escape.
After the Armistice some Armenians were passing from there and they persuaded him to return to his nation. They promised him to help him on the way if he wanted to escape. Krikor left the sheep in the desert and went to Hassitshe.
Our agent recognized him as an Armenian and sent him to our Reception house.
His mother is in Aleppo but unable to support him.
Left our care: July 28, 1924. Relatives.
