In the beginning of the Armenian massacres her native town was surrounded by policemen and soldiers. All men were collected and deported. On the road one after one was killed. A few days later women and children were also deported.
Margrit after a two hours walk from her town fled and returned to the village. On the road a Turk saw her and took her to his house and kept her as a slave during eight years.
Once she went with her mistress to a town named Itshme. There she met some Armenians who told her to flee. One week after she fled to this town, met a leaving caravan and came to Aleppo.
Having no relatives she came to us.
