In the year 1915 Hripsime came on the road of
deportation. Her father, brothers and uncles were all killed. Her mother soon
died. Hripsime was then 14 years old.
She and her sister, nine years old, reached Mardin, where
an Arab dragged them to his home. He immediately married Hripsime and sold her
sister to an old Beduin. Hripsime never saw her more.
After some years Hripsime met with an Armenian young man
and they succeeded in fleeing to Aintab. There they married. He got work and
they were happy. Hripsime gave the birth to three children. Her husband was
taken as a soldier and she fled with her little ones to Aleppo. November 1930
Hiripsime's husband is now staying in Aleppo with his family. He is paralyzed.
