Yevpime
came on the road with her parents and brothers. The poor people suffered
awfully under the burning sun and without water.
Yevpime
could not stand all that, she became ill, and was lying on the road, when the
caravan was driven forward. There an Arab found her and carried her way to his
tents. He married her by force and many years she stayed with that man.
One
day a Syrian merchant happened to come to that village. Yevpime asked for his help
to get away. He helped her to flee to Mosul, where our agent took her in and
sent her per motor-car on to our rescue-home in Aleppo.
We found Yevpimes aunt and cousin
here in Aleppo, and she went to live with them.
