Her father was killed during the deportation. Lucia was deported with her mother until Yeddi-Khouljie from where she was taken away from her mother by a Kourdish shepherd. The Kurd brought her home and she lived with them seven years as their child.
An Armenian woman came once to this village to locate her daughter, Lucia followed her and came to Urfa. After a short time she fled from Urfa and came to this city on December 18.
Lucia was received in the orphanage of the Near East Relief.
