Her husband was a soldier in Constantinople when the deportations started. She was deported with her only son and her parents to Islahije where her parents and her son died. She was exiled to Der-el-Zor where an Arab took her to his house as his servant and she remained there for 7 years.
Armenouhi tried to escape several times but she could not succeed. She was caught and punished very cruelly. She was so ill-treated that she lost nearly the sight of one eye.
One day selling straw in one of the environing villages of Deir-el-Zor, she met some Armenians. She begged them to help her, so they did and she finally succeeded.
She has no relatives.
Armenouhi found a place as a servant.
Left our care: March 31, 1923. Selfsupporting, servant.
