Lousia's fahter was killed in the very beginning of the Armenian Massacres. Her mother gave her to a Turk in order to save her from further sufferings. The Turk married Lousia and kept her mother, sister and brother in his house and in this way they were not deported.
Two years after her marriage, her brother became ill and died. Lousia lived eight years with the Turk and had two children. Some of her relatives saw her in Diarbekir and told her about our Reception house in Aleppo. Lousia was anxious to return to her nation. She sold her properties, collected the necessary money for her journey and left her husband and children alone and fled at night time.
Her mother and younger sister are still in Diarbekir.
