Garabed’s father was a soldier in the Turkish army and disappeared. 

He was deported with his mother, 2 sisters and a brother in the region of Ras-el-Ain. 

The brother was killed, and the mother and sisters got ill and died. 

Garabed was then wandering alone in the caravan. Near Malatia a Kourd took him. He stayed there as a labourer 12 years without any compense. 

One day as he asked for some money for his hard working from early morning till late in the evening, his master got angry and beat him. 

Garabed wanted to flee, and one day he met with some muleteers, who were some of our helpers, and those brought him to our house.
