Armenag came on the road with his father, two brothers
Boghos and Patig and a sister. The caravan of deportation passed Rakka
Deir-el-Zor and further onto Mosul. On the road his father and one brother
disappeared. A Kurd dragged away with the other brother. One day a Kurd also
took Armenag to his village.
He had to learn in his early age ploughing and farm work.
Twelve years long he stayed with his "owner". Then he began to think
about his future, and he asked the Kurd to grant him a small monthly payment.
But the Kurd got angry and said: "You Christian dog, you ought to be glad
to be alive among us." Armenag than remembered that he was an Armenian, he
fled the same night and reached Hassitshe, from there he was immediately sent
on to us.
Left our care: September 14,
