Maries father was a soldier in the Turkish army and was killed. Marie was deported with her mother 2 brothers and a sister. The caravan reached Der-el-Zor. There the mother and brothers were killed. An Arab took Marie to his tent, and a Kourd took her sister.  

                  Marie was forced to live with that Arab 11 years. She was always longing to see her nation again, so one day she fled with some muleteers and reached Hassitshe. From there our agent sent her to us.
