Vagharshag was exiled with his mother, elder brother and a little sister. They went with their country people from Hüsenik towards Arghana, then the caravan arrived there the men were killed, also his brother, and the rest of the caravan were driven forward, at last they arrived to Deir-el-Zor. There they were placed in some old huts and suffered awfully from sickness, no nursing was given to them. His mother died and one day his little sister was taken away by an Arab.

                  Two weeks after he himself was also taken away by a Bedevin by name Ali Mohammed. There he stayed 3 years and was a shepherd. Always he was hungry and but some rags to cover his body.

                  One day he fled and reached a Kurdish village, there he remained 8 years.

                  One day he heard that some Armenians were living in a village Salli. In the night he fled and reached there.  In Salli Vagharshag was married to an Armenian girl Mariam No. 1266.

                  By the help of our agent in Hassitshe they both one day arrived in our home.

                  Vagharshag has a father and a sister in America.
