Her father and brother fled at the beginning of the deportations from their native town. Khasvart does not know where they went.
She was deported with her mother and sisters to Diarbekir. Her mother died there. Her sisters were taken away by Turkish policeman and she by another Turk to Severek where she lived seven years being considered as a member of the Turkish family.
Khasvart had tried to flee several times, thinking that she could locate some of her relatives but she did not succeed. An Armenian lady helped her in fleeing to Aleppo and so she came to us.
Her cousin Nishan Kurmurian is in America.
