Deported until Der-el-Zor, where he remained among the Arabs. His parents are both dead, but he has two uncles in Beirut, whom we are now trying to find. Their names are Nouri and Krikor Krdojan, and they are from Giebeni near Zeitoon.
Krikor's younger brother was living in the American orphanage in Marash, and both believed that the other was dead. When the American orphanage passed Aleppo for Beirut, the brothers found each other and were both very much moved. The Americans would not separate them once more and took Krikor with them to Beirut.
