Haroutine
and Sarkis (No. 1214), we call them so because they don’t remember their
Armenian name. Both were spending their time in Hamsude to fatten an impous
Kürd. Their past history is unknown to them while they were mere infants when
were stolen from their mother’s breast.
Their
master fed them at his pleasure, they could not avoid the ill-treatment too
being Armenians or ‘Gavours’ as the Kürds always called them.
Our
agent in Hassitche once was informed and arranged their escape by sending a
Kürd, who secretly brought them in recompense of distinct payment.
Left our care: 13/6. 27. Aleppo.
