She was exiled with her
parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Near Diarbekir the caravan was divided into
several groups and sent forward in different directions. The unfortunate girl
witnessed there the homicide of her mother.
She was taken by a Kurd to his
village, named Derik. The Kurd made her his wife, she remained there 11 years.
Once
she heard that her aunt was living in Mardin, she fled to her, and by the help
of an Armenian priest she was sent to us.

her brother in Aleppo and went to live with him.
